Butcher & restaurateur Andy Fenner is co–owner of the popular Frankie Fenner Meat Merchants and Publik Wine Bar.
Before becoming a popular meat merchant, Andy worked in marketing, advertising and branding. He later began blogging before embarking on his journey as a well-respected meat merchant. He opened up an "ethical butchery" that only sells meat from farmers personally known, by visiting their farms and investigating into whether the farmers treat their animals properly. The butchery not only sells meat from independent farmers, but Frankie Fenner Meat Merchants aims to celebrate these farmers and the work they do.
"Our story with Dickies goes back to us trying to find someone who could manufacture clothes that would be able to stand up to what we do every day and also be aesthetically cool and this was the only brand that could do that. There is a synergy between the work that we do and also the brand. Yes, it is hardworking and durable and tough but it's cool and good to look at as well," says Fenner.
Dickies launched the 1922 Heritage Collection, a line of work-wear that uses the construction techniques and the quality fabrics of their archival garments with updated fits for the customer of today. All items relate back to a garment or catalog in the Dickies archives. Working forward through the rich Dickies history, newer items include the 1948 western shirt, 1952 truck driver jacket and 1953 jean as well as the Dickies 1922 Selvedge Denim Apron Fenner is wearing in the video.
